Definition

What is a Hotel Guest Hub?

A Hotel Guest Hub is a hotel-specific, room-specific page that opens when a guest scans the QR code in their room. In Stayhos it carries service requests, request status tracking, hotel information, and — where the hotel enables it — hotel-curated local recommendations through Discover Near Us.

Inside the hub

What guests can do inside the Guest Hub.

Request services

Towels, cleaning, maintenance, reception help — picked from a short list, with an optional note.

Track their requests

Guests can see the status of what they asked for, without calling reception to check.

Find hotel information

The practical in-stay details the hotel chooses to share — available right where guests look first.

Report a problem

AC, lighting, plumbing — a room issue becomes a typed report with the room attached.

Browse local recommendations

Where the hotel enables Discover Near Us, guests browse the local businesses their hotel recommends.

Do it all in their browser

The hub opens from the room QR code. Nothing to install, no account to create.

No app, on purpose

Why a hotel guest portal without an app wins the stay.

Stays are short

Nobody installs an app for two nights. The browser removes the biggest adoption barrier.

The QR code carries the context

Scanning the room card opens the right hotel and the right room — guests never type a thing.

It works on any phone

No app store, no version updates, no storage space — just the guest's own browser.

Familiar behavior

Guests already scan QR codes for menus and Wi-Fi. The Guest Hub uses a habit they have.

The QR side of the story — cards, scanning, and room context — is covered in hotel QR code guest services.

Behind the hub

The hub is the front door. Staff operations are the house.

Everything a guest sends from the Guest Hub becomes structured staff work — received, assigned, and tracked in the dashboard. That side of Stayhos is the hotel guest request platform.

  • A request submitted in the hub appears instantly in the staff dashboard
  • Room context travels with the request — staff know where to go
  • Statuses flow back, so guests see progress without calling

More than requests

Hotel information and the local layer.

Hotel information, in the hub

Breakfast hours, Wi-Fi details, checkout times — the in-stay answers guests usually call reception for, available in the room's own hub. Hotel information lives inside each hotel's private Guest Hub, not on any public page.

Discover Near Us (foundation)

Hotels can curate the local restaurants, tours, transfers, and activities their guests see. Guest interest becomes a tracked partner lead — hotel-curated, never an open marketplace.

FAQ

The Hotel Guest Hub — common questions.

How do guests open the Guest Hub?

Guests scan the QR code on the room card and the hub opens in their phone's browser. The QR code carries the room context, so guests never choose a hotel or type a room number.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests scan the QR code in their room and the Guest Hub opens in the browser. No installation, no account, and no typing a room number — the room context comes from the QR code itself.

What can guests do in the Guest Hub?

Guests can request services like cleaning, towels, and maintenance, contact reception, track the status of their requests, read the hotel information the hotel shares, and browse hotel-recommended local businesses where Discover Near Us is enabled.

Can guests track their requests?

Yes. Each request a guest submits has a visible status, so they can see whether it is pending, in progress, or completed without calling reception.

Can hotels show local recommendations?

Yes. Through Discover Near Us, the hotel curates which local businesses appear in its Guest Hub. Guest interest there becomes a tracked partner lead for the business — separate from hotel service requests.

Is the Guest Hub a public hotel directory?

No. Each Guest Hub is private to its hotel and opens only from that hotel's in-room QR codes. There is no public hotel listing, search, or ranking anywhere in Stayhos.

Does Stayhos require full PMS integration?

No. Stayhos works without a PMS. Hotels can optionally import guest stays from a CSV export. Real PMS API integration is on the roadmap and is not live today.
